Gardening. Religion. Politics. What a mix.

Wish I knew. Wonderful photo. Have a great week.
Cause it's a vegetable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Darla......you're getting close!
Is it an eggplant?
or husk tomato?
maybe a potato? I don't know, just guessing.
or a fruit.............you are stretching my brain here.........
Margaret got it....Purple Viking potato. Weird, huh?
So! LOL......... this was fun
I must admit, if you would've asked me that question last week I wouldn't have known. lol. I think it's wierd because I've read over & over & over again how tomatoes & potatoes are close relatives but I didn't realize that their flowers were identical. Well almost identical....I've never seen a purple tomato flower!
I've definitely learned something new! I love it's quirkiness!
Talking 'bout potatoes - I just took mine up. I hope someone around here likes French Fries.
Thanks for joining Bloomin' Tuesday! We all love to learn and beauty is found in every plant. Jean
I'm so glad you signed in at Jean's we have so much fun on Tuesday's, now we will have more because you have to find more blooms to post next Tuesday!
Jean- Well.....I'll be honest.....I kinda thought it was a all girl club. I don't want to be a sissy.......lol.Darla- Something tells me I'll have a harder time than you coming up with new blooms. What do you usually post, like 10 bloom photo's at a time?
So fun to see this pix! THanks for giving us all a challenge - no sissy...most of thepeople I know around me who garden are all men, I am the odd one out! Paula from Idaho
I would have never guessed! The little flowers are so cute. I'll have to read your blog--I can't believe I've actually found a conservative!Aiyana
Day late and a dollar short, I was thinking it looked like a bloom on a scrub brier! LOL VN8
Paula - Nice to meet you Paula.Aiyana- "I can't believe I've actually found a conservative!" - It's a shame you sound so surprised. There's more of us than you think, as a matter of fact, I think most people are conservative. Liberal people by nature are just louder. Not physically but in a gnashing of teeth/complaining kind of way. That's why they make better protesters. lol. It's not always the case, but I've also noticed that liberal gardeners/bloggers will not associate with conservatives. I mean when you're saving the Mother Nature's planet who's got time for a Bible believing, good vs. evil, straight forward logical thinker that's trying to be a good steward of God's planet? VN8- You know what I'm talking about.
Dennis, just another bible thumping, gun clinging conservative here! What you talkin' about? Let the revolution begin and move forward, my we gain more momentum and never lose speed! Attention spans can be short and we need to recognize that we have awakened a sleeping giant and we owe it to all the Patriots and Heroes who have come and gone before us that we have the privilege to have our voices and our legitimate concerns heard, once and for all! VN8

It's a potato blossom, I think I am a little late though as it seems to have been guessed already.
Dennis you CANNOT squish a Monarch Caterpillar!!
Hi Dennis. I came over here from Darla's. You have some nice veggies growin' here. I'll be sure to pop back in.
Darla......you're cross pollinating blogs! lol!And you've got to know....boy sees bug, boy squish bug. It's how we're wired. But in my defense...I haven't squished a Monarch Catapillar since I was 12.

When humidity and leaf wetness is high, a white cottony growth will be visible on the undersides of lesions. It is this area that contains the spores known as sporangia.
Cutworms are so frustrating! had good luck making little collars from the cardboard toilet paper rollers. You can get about 4 from each one--just cut into 4 circles. If plant is small enough, slide over and down to ground. If it's too big and leafy, cut up the side of the circle and use a piece of tape to put it back together. They last a few rains--enough to save the plants from the evil cutworm.
