The Garden Flip-Off.....

So I was blogging the other day on one of my favorite blogs, http://neurotic-iraqi-wife.blogspot.com/, and was engaged in a serious debate. Well right in the middle of the dabate a lady, who knows I'm the Conservative Gardener, gave me a Garden Flip-Off :

"Until you have life growing in your womb, your opinion means nothing to someone who needs financial support to provide a medical need to end a the growth of a life so that can she can support the life that is already here. Go plant some artichokes and while you are at it, please tell Edit _ Mommies about ..........."

Whoa! Go plant some artichokes! lololol! If only she knew how hard it is to grow artichokes. (esp. in florida)

  1. COOL! You got a garden flip off!!! And it was well deserved too! ;D (I only taunt you 'cause I know you like the arguement.)

Now, I'd have never seen any this if you hadn't mentioned it, but now that you have, I HAVE to comment: (Your post):

"Otherwise the majority could decide to let husbands kill their wives if they suspect them of adultery (hmmm), or kill anybody with red hair. This is how I see people living without acknowledging a Creator."

Really?? Just because I don't think a little man in the sky will cast me to hell, I think its okay to go around wackin' my neighbors? I'd actually consider becomeing Christian if ONE church in this town was out in the streets actively protesting this war like they do the abortion clinic. I'm pretty sure the commandment says "Thou Shall Not Kill," not "Thou Shall Not Kill Good People." :D Well, that's my two-cents.

  2. Hey, be careful. You start reading Neurotic Iraqi Wife and you'll be sucked in!

But actually my point was a play on the Muslim society where it's acceptable to kill your wife if you suspect her of cheating, because the majority says it's o.k. That's why I went (hmmm) after. I guess it wasn't very clear.

  3. Slight correction from NIW herself (from her blog)-

"Lol CG, I knoooooooooooooooooow. Man you guys just go on forever. Btw I tried commenting on your blog, but kept giving me an error :( I just wanted to tell you that in Islam a woman does get stoned to death for adultry, but inorder for her to be accused, there must be 4 witnesses i think to have witnessed the act..."

  5. I thought you went(hmmm) because you thought it might not be such a bad idea! ;D Besides, Muslims do believe in a Creator. Their ablility to still permit such things is part of the many reasons why I don't.
(BTW, I've had an error message too.)

  7. Plants grow fast and strong. To do this, put a plastic sheet over the garden for a couple of weeks so the soil can rejuvenate, but not snug enough so that it suffocates any perennials or foliage underneath it.

  8. Well-drained soil are more important to look for. In addition, they should be free from stones, and moisture retentive. If the soil is not productive, adding compost is an excellent solution.
